VooDoo BBQ & Grill wants its customers and NASCAR fans to “taste the magic” –. . . at 200 mph! VooDoo BBQ & Grill announced today that it will sponsor the BK Racing Team No. 83 Toyota Camry driven by David Reutimann this weekend (Nov. 17, 2013) at the Ford EcoBoost 400 at Homestead Miami Speedway.

The New Orleans-based company will be the No. 83 car’s primary sponsor for what is considered by many to be the NASCAR Championship

VooDoo BBQ & Grill is an American restaurant chain specializing in New Orleans style barbecue with Caribbean, Cajun and Creole spices. It operates restaurants in Louisiana, Florida and South Carolina. The first VooDoo BBQ & Grill opened in New Orleans on Mardi Gras Day in 2002. The company has already opened three units in South Florida with another 23 planned for the rest of Florida.  Earlier this year VooDoo BBQ & Grill opened in Kendall, Florida just minutes away from the Homestead Motor Speedway.

“We were thrilled when we found out that the corporate office of VooDoo BBQ had decided to sponsor the BK Racing #83 car for the race  at the Homestead Miami Speedway,” said Joe Sloboda, of BBQ Boyz LLC the VooDoo BBQ Florida franchisee. “So many of our customers are enthusiastic and loyal NASCAR fans and we are proud to be a part of a sport they are passionate about.  While we are focused on the Homestead race we are also excited by the possibility of future NASCAR sponsorship in the future,” he said.

NASCAR driver David Reutimann is a third-generation racer from Zephyrhills, Florida. In 2004 he won NASCAR Rookie of the Year honors in the Craftsman Truck Series and moved up to the Sprint Cup Series in 2007. Between the 2007 and 2011 Sprint Cup seasons, Reutimann recorded two wins, 26 top-tens, and four pole positions.
